Our Hospital - the story so far
This hospital has recently been through the biggest transformation in its history. Over £200 million has been spent on refurbishment and brand new buildings in the past few years and we have recruited more than 450 staff to help us with the changes. One of the reasons for this expansion was to ensure local people received the best possible care once changes in the way healthcare services were delivered in the Barnet, Enfield and Haringey boroughs were implemented in late 2013.
It was important that we made sure we communicated these new ways of working as widely as possible and we also wanted to find more innovative, yet simple, ways of communicating these changes. One of the ways in which we did this was by working with an organisation called Creative Connections to create a short, animated film, which would talk about the new North Middlesex University Hospital, new pathways in healthcare, the changes in our hospital and how they affect staff and patients alike.
While we don't always get everything right, we are achieving great things for our local population, and working together with the community we serve, we are looking forward to a brighter future for all of us. Many of our staff were involved in the creation of this film and we believe the finished film is a lasting legacy to the new world of healthcare we are all now living and working in. We are proud of our story so far. Please click here
