North Mid allied health professionals (AHPs) and wider staff came together yesterday to celebrate AHP day. The national day recognises the contribution of the 14 AHPs that make up the 'AHP family'. These healthcare professionals are the second largest healthcare workforce in the NHS.

North Mid to welcome Sarah Hayes as new chief nurse

Sarah Hayes will take up the role of chief nurse at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust from 18 December 2019. This follows the retirement of Deborah Wheeler, the current director of nursing, later this year. Sarah joins the Trust from Epsom and St Helier University Hospital NHS Trust, where she is deputy chief nurse. She is also interim chief nurse for the integrated care partnerships in Sutton and Surrey Downs.

New Chair for North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust

NHS England and Improvement (London) has announced the appointment of Cedi Frederick as the new Chair of the Trust Board at the North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. Cedi Frederick will be replacing Dr Peter Carter who has been the Trust’s interim Chair since February 2019.
