Edmonton’s North Middlesex University Hospital welcomed hundreds of local school pupils and members of the community through its doors earlier today (Tuesday 16 October) to mark this year’s World Restart a Heart Day – a global health initiative which aims to teach vital, life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills to as many people as possible.

NorthMid Board decides not to pursue full membership of Royal Free London group

At its meeting yesterday, the Board of North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust considered the case for proceeding to full membership of the Royal Free London (RFL) group. The Board unanimously decided not to pursue this option, but reconfirmed the Trust’s commitment to continuing as a clinical partner in the RFL group

Dedicated staff celebrate achievements at staff awards

Hundreds of dedicated North Mid staff celebrated the extraordinary work of their colleagues at the hospital’s annual Our Staff Awards ceremony last night (Tuesday 2 October).  

Four hundred staff, partners and members of the local community attended the glittering evening event at Alexandra Palace to thank them for their part in providing excellent care for local people.

A new report by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has rated North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust ‘requires improvement’ overall, with a ‘good’ rating in response to the question ‘are services caring?’

Three of the Trust’s eight core services are now rated ‘good’ overall, compared to just one following our previous inspection in 2016, and more than half of our individual service ratings – 21 out of a total of 40 – are ‘good’, the second highest possible rating.
