Our redevelopment of A&E and nearby spaces is forging ahead, so you may spot some changes and ongoing building work if you visit NorthMid in the next couple of weeks.
We've started to shift 1,000 tonnes of earth and rubble to allow our new mental health rooms to be craned in next month, and we've had to put up sturdy hoardings to keep patients, visitors and staff safe while we move the materials.
Patients who are longstanding visitors to our diabetes, endocrine and renal clinics will notice one important change from Monday 26 November. We're moving these services to a new dedicated clinic space on level 2. There's easy access by lift from our main atrium, or ask at the outpatients reception or main desk for directions.
We'd like to thank all our staff, volunteers, patients and visitors for your support and patience while we carry out these essential developments.
Remember - if your visit to A&E isn't absolutely essential, make sure you help us help you by using calling NHS 111 for free to know where to go.
