The experienced ophthalmology team diagnose and treat a range of eye conditions. This includes cataract surgery one stop service, eyelid conditions,
glaucoma, minor eye surgery and many others.

The team provides a dedicated children’s ophthalmology clinic, led by a consultant with a special interest in paediatric ophthalmology. We also run four ophthalmic clinics per week at Chase Farm Hospital. The team also provides a service in oculoplastic.

We also provide an emergency eye service five days a week. The walk-in urgent treatment / eye casualty which is accessible through our A&E department. Patients must register at main A&E then walk to clinic 3 to be triaged according to the symptoms.

  • Monday - Thursday 8.30am- 4pm
  • Friday 8.30am-12pm

  • fluorescein angiogram
  • fundus camera
  • b-scan ultrasound
  • IOL master for measuring eyes for lens implant
  • Humphreys visual field analysis
  • Goldmann visual field
  • laser treatment – Argon (retinal, iridoplasty) and YAG (capsulotomy, iridotomy)
  • Lucentis treatment
