The consultant-led renal team provides a comprehensive service for patients with all forms of acute and chronic kidney disease (excluding
renal transplantation), which complements a renal dialysis unit based at Tottenham Hale.
We have a particular clinical interest in diabetic nephropathy, resistant hypertension, renal stone disease and renal disease associated with rheumatological and haematological diseases, HIV, vasculitis and pregnancy.
What we offer
We prepare patients for dialysis and run multi-disciplinary low clearance clinics. We also run monthly joint multi-disciplinary clinics with the
diabetes, urology, rheumatology and HIV teams in order to optimise treatment for our more complex patients.
• four consultant-led general nephrology clinics each week
• two consultant-led low clearance clinics each week
• a monthly consultant-led joint diabetes/renal new patient clinic
• a daily nurse-led low clearance clinic
