Ambulatory care unit

This eight bedded unit provides A&E with a place for patients to receive additional assessment and tests which may not lead to a stay overnight.

Instead of having this assessment in A&E they get to receive this in a dedicated clinical area, in a calming environment, where more long-term monitoring and treatment is carried out than would typically be provided in the emergency room.
