We recognise that continuing professional development (CPD), life-long learning and the Knowledge and Skills Framework are key to delivering high quality patient care – they underpin the skills and knowledge required in each role.
Our learning & development team enable staff to take responsibility for managing their own learning and ensures they learn the right things in the right way, at the right time and for the right reasons. We provide a wide range of training and development opportunities to ensure all staff are skilled and competent in their role.
We provide compulsory and non-compulsory training, and support staff and managers to achieve relevant skills, qualifications and keep up to date through internal and external training.
We encourage staff to learn in a way that suits them as individuals. We offer a wide variety of learning and development opportunities throughout the year to ensure all staff have the opportunity to meet learning objectives set out in their annual personal development plan.
We are an accredited centre for the delivery of NVQs in:
- care (levels 2 and 3)
- business administration
- pharmacy services (levels 2 and 3)
- customer service (level 2)
- assessor level 1, verifier level 1
