The orthopaedic department offers a wide range of services for the patients in modern facilities with a state-of-the-art operation theatre with laminar air flow. Our team has expertise in a broad spectrum of upper and lower limb surgery, joint replacement surgery, revision and arthroscopic surgeries.

Orthopaedic emergencies are managed rapidly through a well-developed multi-disciplinary trauma system including routine ortho-geriatrician input where appropriate.

  •  less than 1% infection rate for our primary THR /TKR/ TSR - lowest among London hospitals
  •  0% dislocation rate for our primary THR for the last 2 years
  •  full compliance with mandatory NJR and at par with national average for PROMs for primary TJR
  •  well established in-house interpreter services for patients and attendants
  •  day case surgeries for sports related shoulder, hand, knee, ankle injuries with relatively high volume of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstructions performed   by six of our consultant experts some of whom have experience in managing sports injuries at International and Olympics level
  •  wide range of teaching and training to GPs
