Joan Saddler OBE, non-executive director
Joan is a highly experienced public engagement leader. She is currently director of partnerships and equality at NHS Confederation, and co-chair of the national NHS Equality and Diversity Council. As a former primary-care trust chair and mental health non-executive director, Joan brings a system-wide governance view to her work, along with her experience as a chief executive within the community and voluntary sector. She was formerly national director of patient and public affairs at the Department of Health and Social Care. Joan has a close connection to North London and lives locally to the Trust. She was awarded an OBE in 2007 for services to health and diversity.
