A new chapter in an ongoing story...

We are delighted to welcome more than 600 new colleagues to North Mid, following the successful transfer of teams and staff who form Enfield Community Services to North Mid on Saturday 1 April 2023.

The transfer marks an important milestone in the programme that sees North Mid expanding from predominantly providing acute services to offering a wide mix of hospital and community-based health services, as part of our growing community services division.

An integral part of our shared future

Writing to welcome the new colleagues to Team North Mid, chief executive Dr  Nnenna Osuji said:

"The teams which make up Enfield Community Services have been a valued part of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust for a number of years, delivering vital care for people in Enfield. As we develop closer system partnerships in north central London, there is an opportunity for us at North Mid to provide services in ways that align with the needs of local people and which extend beyond traditional healthcare boundaries, including joining up health services previously provided separately by acute and community health service organisations.

"As an integral part of the new North Mid, the services - and more importantly the colleagues who deliver them -  will be fundamental to this vision of providing joined-up services across community and hospital care. This builds on our work in the community, with a thriving 0-19 service and increasing existing community programmes, strengthening our ambition to develop further as an anchor organisation in our communities."
