Ambulance services industrial action - Friday 10 February

Ambulance service staff will be taking part in industrial action on Friday 10 February. This will impact London Ambulance Service between 11am and 11pm.

Our emergency department will be extremely busy. Please only attend if you have an urgent or life-threatening medical condition. Directions to the main entrance of our emergency department are here.

If you have a planned appointment at North Mid, please attend unless you are told otherwise.

Our maternity services will be running as usual. Please contact our triage team on 0208 887 3682 immediately if you:

  • have any concerns about yourself or your baby
  • have reduced baby movements
  • have any vaginal bleeding
  • think your waters might have broken
  • think you are in labour
  • feel unwell

Please make sure you have plans to travel to hospital, by car or taxi, if needed.

If you have a planned home birth around this time, your midwife will be in touch about what this strike action means for your care.

We encourage patients who need urgent or emergency care to come forward as normal.

Please call NHS 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk if you have an urgent but not life-threatening medical need. In a medical emergency, when someone is seriously ill or injured, or their life is at risk, please dial 999 immediately.
