Parents praise 'excellent' maternal care after giving birth on Christmas Day and New Year's Day
Parents in Haringey and Enfield praised North Mid's 'excellent' maternal care after giving birth on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
Nine families were celebrating the best Christmas Day present over the festive period whilst 10 families had a great start to 2023 – a newborn baby - making a special time of year and celebration that bit more special.
Among the nine babies born at North Mid on Christmas Day was Baby Bria who was born at 00.47am making her the first baby born on Christmas Day at North Mid.
Mum Bianca, who used to work at North Mid, described it as a ‘blessing’.
She said: “Giving birth on Christmas Day was a bit of a shock but it was a blessing – it is the only way to describe it. I was due on Boxing Day and throughout my pregnancy, the idea of a Christmas baby was always floated and joked about but it actually happened.
“It was an amazing experience. All families were given a little present which included a bath set for the mums and an outfit, a towel and some baby wipes for the baby; it was just the icing on the cake.
“From start to finish, from the minute I walked in, to the minute I walked out, it was excellent care. The staff were so caring, tentative and amazing in every department we went to – thank you.”
Kickstarting 2023 with a new member of the family was local mum Adina and her partner.
Giving birth to Baby Bogdan at 01.09am on New Year's Day, Bogdan - who weighed over eight pounds - was North Mid’s first baby of 2023 which was a fantastic start to the New Year for the Stanescu family.
His mum, Adina, said: “Having baby Bogdan on New Year’s Day was a great way to start the New Year.
“He is perfect and I can’t thank the staff enough for being so good with me and him. North Mid was perfect throughout my pregnancy. All of the staff were really nice and we are all doing great, especially Bogdan.”
