Shola Adegoroye announced as chief operating officer at North Mid

Following a rigorous recruitment process, Shola Adegoroye has been confirmed as the new chief operating officer at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust, and will take up the role substantively in November 2021.

Shola has been interim chief operating officer at North Mid since March 2021 and her career in healthcare spans over 20 years. She has worked in senior operational roles at Trusts as well as at a national level, in areas that span elective recovery to cancer performance improvement.

Speaking of her appointment, Shola Adegoroye said: “It has been incredible working with such dedicated and committed people at North Mid over the last eight months and I am excited to continue working with North Mid teams and partners across north central London as we move forward on our improvement journey. North Mid is my local hospital and I care passionately about the community, so I am looking forward to helping more people in Enfield and Haringey receive good care and lead healthy lives.”

Dr Nnenna Osuji, Chief Executive of North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust, said: “I’m thrilled that we have been able to appoint someone of Shola’s calibre to this important role at North Mid, and confident that she will continue to build on the improvements which we’ve worked hard to deliver so far.

“She will be joining an already strong team, and will make a huge contribution to helping us to deliver outstanding care for our local communities.”
