Excellence unveiled: winners announced at North Mid Improvement Expo 2024 – Spring Edition

The 2024 North Mid Improvement Expo concluded triumphantly on Friday 17 May, celebrating the remarkable achievements and innovative efforts of staff members committed to enhancing patient care and operational efficiency. This year's Expo showcased a vast range of groundbreaking projects, underscoring the dedication and ingenuity of North Mid staff across various departments.

photo 111 North Mid colleagues submitted Improvement Posters in five categories aligned with the Patient First Strategy: Patient, Outstanding Care, People, Partnership, and Sustainability. These posters provided visual insights into the solutions being implemented across the organisation.

photo The highlight of the event was the announcement of the winners in each category. The 'Patient' category was won by Zareen Munsoor and Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) team with support from the Communications team. The winning entry was a poster demonstrating how to successfully bridge the gap between social media and the PALS team. The 'Outstanding Care' award was shared among the Coagulopathy, Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC), and the Sunrise Neonatal teams. The 'People' category was clinched by Hazel Manzano and team for their ‘What Matters To You” initiative.

In the 'Partnerships' category, Akudo Okereafor and ABC Parents Team was recognised for their exposition on co-production, community partnerships and parent education. The 'Sustainability' award went to the Finance team for their project focussed on financial services development.

Rounding up the awards was the People’s Choice prize given to Whitney Iheme and the PALS and Complaints Team for their staff wellbeing-centred project.

expo The Expo also featured inspiring keynote speeches, engaging panel discussions, and interactive sessions, fostering a spirit of collaboration and continuous improvement among attendees. The North Mid Improvement Expo 2024 - Spring Edition not only celebrated current achievements but also ignited new ideas and initiatives aimed at driving positive change for the future.

 

 

The exciting prizes given to the winners were paid for by North Mid Charity in partnership with Royal Free Charity.
