Eye-catching campaign reminds staff and visitors of daily infection control and prevention measures

Our infection control specialists have worked round the clock over the past few months, to lead and support our fight against Covid-19.

But tackling the virus is a team effort, which is why we're rolling out new staff-initiated resources to help remind every member of Team North Mid of the contribution they can make to the battle against this virus, and ensure infection prevention and control is part of every action, every day.

Our talented clinical photographer has created a mosaic of hundreds of images of North Mid staff members, from all roles in the Trust - from surgeons to sonographers, and research scientists to receptionists.

We've used them to create some eye catching posters and pop-ups which show the expected behaviours regarding handwashing and other infection control protocols.

Additionally the partner of a dedicated staff member has used his own skill set to create an amazing animation, which has been generously donated to North Mid, explaining the importance of not wearing uniform or scrubs outside of the hospital site. Talented David Osborne of Zest Animation, said: "If this helps to stop the spread of the infection, then I feel I have made my own small contribution."

The generosity builds on the donations of uniform 'kit bags' which talented sewing enthusiasts from north London - and even as far away as Edinburgh - made for North Mid staff. Every member of our clinical team has now been given a bag which they can use to take their uniform home to launder safely at 60 degrees.
