Festive brilliance: North Mid celebrates the festive season with dazzling decorations and team spirit
In a jubilant display of festive spirit, twenty-nine of our wards and departments recently captivated onlookers with their dazzling and merry-making festive decorations. The initiative not only showcased the creativity and ingenuity of the hospital's staff but also highlighted the profound impact of teamwork in fostering a sense of community and celebration.
This year’s contest, which sought to identify the best dressed ward and department, became a platform for teams to unite and bring forth their most creative and festive ideas. The competition not only added a touch of holiday cheer to the hospital environment but also served as a testament to the collaborative spirit that permeates North Mid.
And the winner is…
After careful consideration and judging by select hospital executives, the antenatal clinic emerged as the Grand Champion, claiming the coveted top spot with their enchanting and festive decorations. The visually stunning displays captured the essence of the holiday season and garnered well-deserved praise from both colleagues and visitors. Most of the materials used for their decorations were recycled, perfectly capturing our sustainability efforts.
Securing the position of runners-up were the S3 ward and the emergency department. In addition to the winners and runners-up, the ECHO sexual health clinic received a special citation, earning them well-deserved recognition for their creativity and enthusiasm.
The joyous occasion was made even more special with the generous support of the North Mid Charity, which provided amazing prizes for the winners. 
The charitable organisation's contributions added an extra layer of excitement and appreciation for the participants, creating a festive atmosphere of gratitude and camaraderie.
