ByNorth and Usborne Books empowers readers at North Mid
ByNorth donate nearly £1000 worth of books with the support of Usborne Books.
In aid of World Book Day 2024, ByNorth donated £600 worth of Usborne Books to various departments at North Mid. Alongside this, the wonderful team at Usborne Books topped up the order to a total of 150 books; worth nearly £1000.
The donated books span various genres, catering to a broad audience. Books for children and young people were shared to Rainbow Ward and our Paediatrics A&E Department, with a selection of books being donated to our Maternity Ward and our Care for the Elderly wards (Topaz and Pearl).
This collaborative endeavour underscores the significance of corporate social responsibility and partnerships in promoting literacy. ByNorth’s donation reflects their dedication to supporting hospitals in their remit in a variety of ways, while Usborne Books' contribution amplifies the impact, enriching access to diverse literature for all ages.
We extend our sincere appreciation to ByNorth and Usborne Books for their invaluable contributions to 
literacy and the wellbeing of our patients at North Mid and look forward to working with them again in the future.
