This Christmas, the North Mid Charity witnessed an outpouring of generosity that created a festive and uplifting environment for patients and their families at North Mid. The spirit of giving and compassion shone brightly this Christmas at the North Mid, as various organizations and individuals came together to spread joy and warmth to patients and staff.

Boxes of chocolates spark joy in 'Best Dressed Ward' competition:

GIST Logistics, in a heartwarming gesture, contributed to the holiday cheer by donated boxes of chocolates which were distributed as a part of the Best Dressed Ward competition. Staff revelled in the sweet treats, which helped fostering a festive atmosphere and encouraging a friendly competition that uplifted spirits throughout the hospital.

 

Toy Distribution Campaign by Great Ormond Street Hospital:

Every year Great Ormond Street Hospital are inundated with donations during the festive period. Due to the amount of generosity they receive, Great Ormond Street launched a toy distribution campaign to other hospitals, ensuring that children experienced the joy of unwrapping a gift during the holiday season.

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club players spread Christmas magic:

Tottenham Hotspur players took time out of their busy schedules to visit the Rainbow Ward, where they distributed gifts and shared precious moments with the children. Their presence added a touch of magic to the season, demonstrating the power of sportsmanship and the importance of giving back to the community.

RCCG Rehoboth Centre's generous contribution:

The holiday spirit extended further with a generous donation of £300 from RCCG Rehoboth Centre, earmarked for leather bean bags for our older paediatric patients. This thoughtful contribution will provided comfort and relaxation to patients and their families whilst being appropriate for infection prevention control.

Hand on Heart & Camp Simcha

Hand on Heart Organisation and Camp Simcha demonstrated their commitment to bringing joy to the hospital by donating over 100 toys between them which included presents for distribution, respectively. Their contributions emphasized the collective effort needed to create a festive atmosphere for those undergoing medical treatment.

WHSmith's Plush Teddy Bear donation:

WHSmith made a heartwarming contribution by donating over 40 plush teddy bears, adding a cuddly touch to the holiday celebrations. Their gesture exemplified corporate social responsibility and the willingness of businesses to make a positive impact on the local community.

Edmonton Rotary Club's historic support continues:

The Edmonton Rotary Club continued its historic support of the hospital's Play Team by contributing to the festivities. Their sustained commitment highlighted the enduring partnerships that contribute to the hospital's ongoing success in providing holistic care during inpatient and outpatient appointments.

Individual donations

Alongside the donations from local and national organisations, North Mid Charity were humbled by the outpouring of generosity by local individuals, families and groups who came forward to spread the ‘festive spirit’.

North Mid Charity's festive celebrations for Oncology and Red Cell paediatric patients:

The North Mid Charity played a pivotal role in funding festive celebrations for Oncology paediatric patients, with support from Tesco Cafe and Harney's Law Firm. For our Red Cell services paediatric patients, their Christmas party was supported by the Roald Dahl charity and Spread a Smie. The Christmas parties for paediatric patients were a memorable event, bringing together the community and instilling hope and joy during challenging times.
